Oscilloscopes

Oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers and other high accuracy measurement products.

TiePie engineering offers a wide range of high quality data acquisition instruments that can be used simultaneously as oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, data logger and protocol analyzer. Measurements are performed with sample frequencies up to 1 GS/s at resolutions up to 16 bit. Oscilloscopes with single-ended as well as with high voltage differential inputs are available, with 1 to 4 input channels. When more channels are needed, instruments can be combined to be used as a synchronized combined instrument, with its channel count only limited by the number of available USB ports. Besides an oscilloscope, some models also contain an Arbitrary Waveform Generator.

Most TiePie oscilloscopes are equipped with a USB interface and can be operated without additional external power. Their small size makes these lightweight oscilloscopes ideal for portable use, while their exceptional performance rivals most desktop oscilloscopes.

Function generators

High accuracy low distortion arbitrary waveform generators.

TiePie engineering offers several function generators that are integrated with an oscilloscope in one instrument. Each TiePie engineering function generator is an Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG), which means that it contains waveform memory that can be filled with any signal to be generated. This can be one of several standard signals or a previously recorded measurement.

High accuracy 14 bit function generators with bandwidths up to 30 MHz and sample frequencies up to 240 MHz are available. Each TiePie function generator is equipped with a USB interface. The Handyscope series can be operated without additional external power. Their small size makes these lightweight function generators ideal for portable use.

Oscilloscope probes

TiePie engineering offers a selection of high quality oscilloscope probes. Passive as well as active voltage oscilloscope probes are available. Oscilloscope probe bandwidths range from 15 MHz to 250 MHz, with attenuations from 1:1 to 1:200, allowing voltage measurements up to 1.2 kV. All oscilloscope probes are connected to an oscilloscope with a BNC connector.

Current clamps

Measure currents without breaking a closed circuit or affecting the insulation.

Use your PC-based oscilloscope in combination with a TiePie current clamp to safely measure the current through a conductor without breaking the circuit or contacting the conductor. The current clamps measure both AC and DC currents up to 600 A and are equipped with 4 mm female banana sockets to connect them to an oscilloscope.
