Recalibration
TiePie engineering instruments are calibrated before they leave the factory. Calibration is done on special calibration systems, consisting of a computer and a set of computer controlled calibration generators, computer controlled multimeters, computer controlled switch matrices and special calibration software.
To ensure proper recalibration, instruments that require a recalibration, will have to be sent back to TiePie engineering.
Procedure
To have your instrument recalibrated, visit the RMA number request page to obtain an RMA number (Return Material Authorization). Once the RMA number is received, the instrument can be sent to TiePie engineering.
To return an instrument to TiePie engineering, please make sure that:
- the instrument is properly packed
- a printed confirmation of the RMA number including a return address and contact details (at least e-mail address or fax number) is included
- accessories like probes, cables, manuals etc. are not included
- the RMA number is clearly written on the outside of the parcel
When TiePie engineering has received the instrument, it will be recalibrated and sent back within two working days.
