DOS software related
Software will not find hardware on Windows NT/2000/XP
Q |
I am using one of your instruments for several years now. I am using the DOS software. Now I upgraded to a computer with Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. The software does not recognize the instrument anymore. What can I do? |
A |
Not much. In Windows NT (Windows 2000 and Windows XP are based on Windows NT) it is not possible to perform I/O operations without a special driver. The TiePie DOS applications do not have access to such a driver and therefore will not be able to communicate with the instrument.
If there is 32 bit Windows based software available for your instrument, we suggest that you use that software, instead of the DOS software.
There is no and will be no Windows based software available for the Handyprobe HP1, Handyscope, TP5008 and AD128. |
