Linux packages

TiePie engineering has a Linux debian based package server with packages for the LibTiePie library.

Installing the TiePie engineering repository

To install the TiePie engineering repository, execute the following commands:

  1. Import the TiePie engineering public key:
    wget -O - | sudo apt-key add -
  2. Add apt source:
    • Debian 9 (stretch):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb stretch non-free" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Raspbian 9 (stretch):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb stretch non-free" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (trusty):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb trusty multiverse" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (xenial):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb xenial multiverse" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Ubuntu 17.04 (zesty):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb zesty multiverse" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Ubuntu 17.10 (artful):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb artful multiverse" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
    • Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (bionic):
      sudo bash -c 'echo "deb bionic multiverse" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/'
  3. Update the package index:
    sudo apt-get update

libtiepie Virtual package that depends on the latest version of LibTiePie
libtiepie-dev LibTiePie library development/header files
libtiepie-doc LibTiePie library documentation
libtiepie0 LibTiePie library version 0.x.
python-pylibtiepie Python bindings for libtiepie0 library (Python 2.7)
python3-pylibtiepie Python bindings for libtiepie0 library (Python 3)
tpiss TiePie Instrument Sharing Server
